So... what lies ahead for 2002, not just for Hsoi, but for John C. Daub and his family. This isn't some "new year resolution" that I'll break tomorrow; it's something that's been coming for a long time, but we've not been able to act upon because we've been up to our armpits in diapers for the past 5 years (with 2-3 more ahead of us). We're getting back on our feet (literally -- surgery recoveries for both myself and Michele), we can stop spinning our wheels, and we can finally get some traction. We're done making our family, now we're going to be our family.

In my professional life, I'm working for Aladdin Systems, Inc. and having a fun, interesting, and challenging time working on Spring Cleaning and ArchiveSearch. I look forward to a long, happy, and healthy relationship between myself and Aladdin Systems. I also have a desire for self-employment, mostly because I desire to be self-supporting. I think a self-supporting mode of earning income would work best in terms of providing for my family, given how Michele and I wish to raise our children (e.g. we homeschool). So, I'm working towards that end.

In my personal life, my family is growing. We need a slightly larger house (especially since I telecommute full-time), and hope to move into one this year. Plus, life with three children is an adjustment, but man... we're having a lot of fun. :-)

A roller coaster ahead, but it's going to be a fun and good time overall. I no longer wish to be drowning in a daydream. And gettin' thar is half the fun. Continuing on the journey....
